DataLand, Inc. has announced the groundbreaking of its very first boutique hotel in Puerto Princesa, Palawan – The Ivywall. Slated to be completed in 2015, The Ivywall will be constructed by one of the Philippines’ top contractors, and also a sister-company of DataLand, DDT Konstract, Inc.
“The Ivywall will add a new energy to Puerto Princesa as the city is booming with business and leisure travelers looking for quality affordable hotels,” says Paul R. Chua, AVP for Business Development DataLand, Inc. “This [hotel] will definitely fill that gap and cater to those type of tourists who are eager to find a most convenient place to stay in Puerto Princesa as it is very near the airport.” Situated less than one kilometre from the airport, The Ivywall Hotel, is a 3,500m² property on Rizal Avenue. Its 120 rooms are stylized with a modern Filipino design, translating the ambiance of warmth and hospitality into a single space. External and general designs are, on the other hand, contemporary, giving a modern and minimalistic twist to the façade. In addition to its well-appointed guestrooms, the hotel will have a superior selection of facilities, including the grand lobby, a health spa, restaurant and bar, outdoor swimming pool and a substantial amount of meeting space, including a ballroom and several function rooms. The hotel will also offer complimentary Wi-Fi, providing a convenience like no other. Partnering with DataLand in delivering the company’s stand on ‘quality beyond the basics’ is Best Western International, which is globally renowned for hospitality excellence. The Ivywall will be among its 4,000 independently-owned and -operated hotels all over the world. DataLand, Inc. is the brainchild of the owners of DDTKI.
